Sort-Tek was founded in 1997 by a Detroit machinist who recognized a growing need for dependable inspection and sorting of machined components. What began as a manual inspection business operating from a garage was built on a straightforward commitment: help manufacturers identify quality issues quickly and keep production moving. In 2016, as the founder's health declined, Rob Oda acquired the company and began its next chapter. Under Rob's leadership, Sort-Tek has evolved into a reliable, technology-driven enterprise while preserving the responsiveness, attention to detail, and hands-on service on which the company was founded.

We are ISO 9001:2015 certified, and we're investing in the future of quality inspection through a partnership with the Apple Manufacturing Academy, bringing AI-assisted inspection to manufacturers while keeping human judgment at the center of every final call.
